The Asahikawa Freeride Explorer is our signature multi-day package for advanced skiers and snowboarders seeking maximum powder laps with minimal hiking. Basing out of downtown Asahikawa at the premium Amanek Hotel —famous for its natural hot spring onsen and hot buffet breakfast—we storm-chase the best lift-accessed terrain in Central Hokkaido using private daily van transport.
Because we aren't tied to a single ski resort, if high winds close the Asahidake Ropeway, we simply pivot 45 minutes to the sheltered tree runs of Kamui or head south to Furano, guaranteeing zero wasted storm days.

Our private Central Hokkaido backcountry day tours are designed for skiers and splitboarders who already have accommodation but want expert local guiding to the deepest snow on the island. Based year-round in Asahikawa and Furano, our certified guides track daily storm cycles, wind direction, and avalanche stability to select the best mountain each morning—whether that means riding lift-assisted sidecountry at Kamui Ski Links or hiking deep powder bowls in the Daisetsuzan National Park.
Every day trip includes optional private door-to-door vehicle transfers from your accommodation, avalanche safety gear (transceiver, probe, shovel), and complimentary HD video and photo coverage of your day.

Designed for dedicated backcountry skiers and splitboarders, the Central Hokkaido Explorer package leaves the lift queues behind to access untouched powder in Hokkaido’s wild alpine terrain. Guided by avalanche-certified local experts, this 7-day experience focuses on day touring, low-elevation tree laps, and exploring remote alpine bowls across the Daisetsuzan and Tokachi ranges. If your group prefers an easier day, we will often head to Asahidake, Kurodake, Furano, Kamui or another resort for some lift-accessed powder.
Basing in Asahikawa gives your group the ultimate mobility to select daily touring objectives based on real-time snowpack safety and stability, returning each evening to hot volcanic onsens and local izakayas.
* Duration: 7 Days / 6 Nights (5 Full Days of Guided Backcountry Touring).
* Tour Style: Ski touring and splitboarding focused (skins or snowshoes required) with lift-assisted days optional.
